Recently, Alan and Ivor Nober, ex-School Principal and Western Cape Schools facilitator, visited our school as part of their annual visitation.  They met with School Principal, Quinto Pick and Deputy Principal, Jahaar Slamdien.  The main focus of the visit is project feedback and impact assessment.

The partnership was once again reconfirmed and as Kuils River Technical High we are honored to be part of this awesome project.

According to Opportunity Education, too many areas of the world lack educational opportunities and resources.  Their goal is to help as many children as possible achieve a meaningful education.  They provide the essential support, from learning materials and curricula to televisions and teachers's guides, that is so critical to these schools.  They have provided our school with 3 laptops, 3 televisions and supportive educational software programmes.

The software is part of their commitment to helping teachers in the developing world by introducing effective teaching methods and providing tools for quality instruction and assessment.  Through their Sister School Program, they connect teachers and students around the world, encouraging cultural awareness throughout the global community.  Our sister school is Hahnville High School, in Boutte, Louisiana, United States.  Through this project, we wish to encourage our learners to establish pen pal relations and sending hand-written letters.
