Sylvie Legere / Board Member
Sylvie Legere has been actively involved in project development and implementation in both the business and not-for-profit worlds. For 15 years, she spearheaded large strategic technology and process improvement initiatives for such leading companies as Accenture, TD Ameritrade and JP Morgan Chase. For the past several years, she has used her project management skills to help a number of foundations and social organizations. Recently, Sylvie worked closely with the dZi Foundation to lead the development of its "Revitalize a Village" field manual which coaches communities in remote villages of eastern Nepal to take charge of their own development through planning, prioritization of needs and project management. She serves on the board of directors of and leads the strategic planning committee for Housing Opportunities for Women (HOW). She is a member the International Advisory Committee at the University of Chicago's Renaissance Society which encourages the growth and understanding of contemporary art through exhibitions, publications, and events. In addition, she participates in numerous fund-raising and other events at the schools where her three children attend. She holds a Bachelor's in Commerce with a specialization in Management Information System from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and a Master's in Computer Science with a specialization in the Learning Sciences from Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois. Fluent in French, English and Spanish, she is an avid traveler, trekker, camper and runner (marathons and triathlons). Sylvie, her husband, Todd, and their three children live in Wilmette, Illinois.
