Vice President, Teacher Resources & Tools

About the Role

The VP, Teacher Resources & Tools leads the development of OE’s subscription business, offering teacher resources, curriculum, professional learning courses and software tools to busy teachers wanting to improve their work with students. While revenue is secondary to reach, adoption and impact, the VP will function in a revenue leadership role, working closely with the VP Marketing to reach and convert teachers effectively. The VP will also work closely with the VP, School Network Support to ensure availability of all OE assets to our network schools.

The VP manages the Professional Learning and the Teacher Tools teams.

The overall goal of this role is to grow OE’s subscriber network to over 12,000 teachers and 600 schools nationally, with a goal of generating revenue from 20% of those subscribers, to enable teachers to adopt active learning practices and effective feedback methods for students in all states and in charter, independent and public schools.

  • Evaluate and report performance metrics on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and refine positioning, pitches and campaigns.
  • Engage actively with active users to understand their use of OE resources and tools, include them in marketing campaigns if possible, and gain their advice for improving our marketing.
  • Establish advisory boards, engage teachers in focus groups, and create partnerships with other organizations to drive growth.

Continue the Development of Effective Products

  • Ensure effective usage data evaluation and work with their direct reports to continuously improve our products and plan new products to seize relevant opportunities.
