Teacher Product Consultant:
Paid Classroom Pilot

We’re inviting a small, paid cohort of middle and high school teachers to serve as Product Consultants for Feedback Forward, a formative assessment tool used for daily exit tickets. You’ll use Feedback Forward with your own students, in your own classroom, and share your expert insights to help shape a tool that will soon be available for teachers nationwide.

This is a paid role: $1,000 for an average of 4 hours of work per week over 7 weeks.

About Feedback Forward

Feedback Forward is a formative assessment tool designed to make daily exit tickets more meaningful and enable students to reflect on success indicators beyond mastery, including engagement.

We are not a standard edtech company. Our parent company, Opportunity Education, is a mission-driven nonprofit that helps teachers improve their practice while supporting students in taking ownership of their learning. Feedback Forward is used daily by 50 teachers and 500 students in our four Network Schools. For this pilot, we’re intentionally recruiting teachers unaffiliated with our organization to bring fresh perspectives and honest feedback.

Role Details

As a Teacher Product Consultant, you will:

  • Use Feedback Forward:
    • At least two classes per day
    • At least four days per week
    • For six weeks
  • Submit a weekly survey about your experience with the tool
  • Participate in three one-hour video calls (pre-pilot, mid-pilot, and post-pilot)
  • Share feedback that directly informs product decisions
  • If you genuinely find the tool valuable, help spread the word by sharing your experience with colleagues as we prepare for a national launch

Why Participate?

  • You will be compensated $1000 for full participation in the pilot.

Most pilots ask teachers to “try a tool.” This one asks teachers to help shape it. Your participation will directly influence:

  • Product decisions and development priorities
  • Features added to Feedback Forward
  • Reports and insights teachers use to plan lessons and interventions
  • Training and support for future users
  • Messaging and materials used to introduce Feedback Forward to educators nationwide

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is a good fit for teachers who are:

  • Teaching a core subject in grades 6–12
  • Able to get administrative approval to use a new technology tool in their classroom. Bonus if you can connect via Google Classroom or Clever!
  • Teaching in a 1:1 environment. Students have access to computers or tablets. Feedback Forward works on PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, and iPads.
  • Curious about technology and comfortable trying new tools in real classroom settings

We are intentionally building a small, diverse cohort of teachers across geographic regions. While we’d love to include everyone, space is limited, and selections will be made on a rolling basis.

If you have any questions about this role, please reach out to us at info@feedbackforward.org
