Give Fast Feedback to a group of students

Use groups to give Fast Feedback to a select number of students instead of the entire class. You can add students to a group and give feedback to only that group. You can also delete groups or move students between groups without affecting the feedback they received when they were a member of that group.

Set up a group

  1. Click “Students” from the left-side menu in Feedback Forward.

  2. Filter the student list to the class in which you would like to create a group.

  3. Click “Add Group” in the top right corner.

  4. Name your group and click “Next.”

  5. Select students from the list of students in the class. You cannot add a student to a group unless they are first enrolled in the class. Once you have selected all of your group members, click “Save.”

Give Fast Feedback to a group on the web or in the extension

  1. Start a new feedback session. Beside “Feedback Type,” select “Fast.”

  2. Select a class. If there are groups associated with that class, a menu will appear below the class where you can select the group.

  3. Select the criterion and click “Next” to begin your feedback session. All feedback and insights will be specific to the students in that group.

Edit or delete a group.

  1. To edit an existing group’s name or members, click the three dots beside the group’s name and a menu will appear. Click “Edit.” Here, you can add or remove students from the group, or click the blue pencil to edit the group’s name.

  2. To delete a group, click the three dots beside the group’s name and a menu will appear. Click “Delete.” This will remove the group from filters and future feedback sessions. It will not delete or affect any feedback that a student received while they were a member of that group.

View Insights for a group

  1. Click “Insights” from the left-side menu in Feedback Forward.

  2. Select a class. If there are groups associated with that class, a menu will appear beside the class where you can select the group to see insights specific to that group.
