Use groups to give Fast Feedback to a select number of students instead of the entire class. You can add students to a group and give feedback to only that group. You can also delete groups or move students between groups without affecting the feedback they received when they were a member of that group.
Set up a group
-
Click “Students” from the left-side menu in Feedback Forward.
-
Filter the student list to the class in which you would like to create a group.
-
Click “Add Group” in the top right corner.
-
Name your group and click “Next.”
-
Select students from the list of students in the class. You cannot add a student to a group unless they are first enrolled in the class. Once you have selected all of your group members, click “Save.”
Give Fast Feedback to a group on the web or in the extension
-
Start a new feedback session. Beside “Feedback Type,” select “Fast.”
-
Select a class. If there are groups associated with that class, a menu will appear below the class where you can select the group.
-
Select the criterion and click “Next” to begin your feedback session. All feedback and insights will be specific to the students in that group.
Edit or delete a group.
-
To edit an existing group’s name or members, click the three dots beside the group’s name and a menu will appear. Click “Edit.” Here, you can add or remove students from the group, or click the blue pencil to edit the group’s name.
-
To delete a group, click the three dots beside the group’s name and a menu will appear. Click “Delete.” This will remove the group from filters and future feedback sessions. It will not delete or affect any feedback that a student received while they were a member of that group.
